Switching from Panny PQ's -> AMQ's..

Hey guys.. I've been using the Panasonic PQ tapes for about a year now and will be switching over to the AMQ tapes. I know that switching between brands of tape is a bad thing, but what about switching between grades/qualities of tape within the same brand (in this case panasonic)?

Will switching from using PQ's to AMQ's cause any head clogging, etc? Thanks for any help.
 
Out of curiosity, why the switch?
Are you having problems with the PQ's?
Most people seem to be having good luck with the PQ's.
 
Well to be honest, the camera this switch is for is the Canon XH A1 HDV camcorder... and on some of the more important shoots, I want to safety of an AMQ. I love the PQ's... never had a single dropout yet, but figured the AMQ's were within my budget, why skimp.
