Switching between Monitor and HDTV ... what kind of switch?

[NOMADIC]

I've been looking for a basic switch for my computer to switch from my monitor to my hdtv, it needs to be dvi. All the switches ive seen are the opposite of what im looking for, (one monitor, 2 sources) ... climbing under my desk to swap cables is getting old. haha

anyone know of some kind of switch that would work? even a basic manual switch is cool.

thanks!

Don't know if this will help you or not.

yeah, I've see these before, they are to switch between 2 computers on to 1 monitor.

At one point I had seen something about backwards compatible switches, but I can't seem to find them now.

Another thing I thought of, what about a DVI Y-cable. I know I can't run the monitor and tv at the same because of different resolutions, but if the one is turned off while the other is running, would that work?

The description says it's for sharing TWO monitors between 2 computers. Couldn't you use it to share TWO monitors with just 1 computer?
