Swinging light bulb, how to light music video?

We are shooting a music video and want to do a black and white scene of the band playing with a large single light bulb lit up and swinging back and forth. I've seen this done in other videos but how would you light for something like this? Shooting on an HVX. thanks
 
I would recommend using some large soft sources around the talent, to fill in some ambient light, doesn't necessarily have to be bright, just something to bring them up out of the blacks a little bit, and then use a 250W or 500W photoflood bulb, maybe hang it off some type of boom pole, and have someone on a ladder swing it back and forth. That way, when the bulb, which will be acting as your key, swings away, you still have some ambient light to fill in as your fill light. Experiment with your contrast ratios till you find what you like.
 
500 watt hologen bulb in a scoop light or work light and just throw a rope around something easy as that take a look around a hardware store
