Swift Dolly v20 - any experience?

Not familiar with www.thecinecity.com. I took a look at their website and it seems clear that English is not their primary language...which causes me to wonder where this company is located and what sort of reputation it has.

I could be way off base here...feel free to correct me if I am.

Quite a while ago I made a similar dolly, though completely from plastic tubing, not from aluminum: http://www.vimeo.com/1262610 Rollerblade nall bearings were the most expensive item. of course, my dolly is not suitable for heavy professional cameras.

AFAIK, CineCity is an Indian company. I like their idea of using one longitudinal pipe instead of two smaller ones like I did, and to use the collar to connect the cross pipe. These collars are common for creating handlebars in buses and subway trains, but those of you who only ever have driven a car would never know it ;-) I don't know can you get this kind of collar in Home Depot. Good idea anyway.

BTW, their design uses a pulley-style wheel, it is simple, but will not work without tracks, the ride will be too rough.

P.S. You can see English is not my native language too.

Its pretty easy to build triangle out of 2by4s and add some wheels and place your tripod on it for under 10 dollars, if this is still to complex maybe ask a friend.

we made a trolley with a few pieces of wood some springs and some wheels and it was under $15

the springs allow to roll along a sidewalk without the cracks bumping the camera up and down
