Swapping gear.

Hey guys, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere and I dont know if it's someting people would generally be interested in, but it seems, to me, like a good idea for us IndieFolk who dont want to and shouldn't have to spend a fortune on the next project.

I have a bit o' gear:

100B
IndieSnap HD Matte Box
FigRig
VZ Stealth PZFI
VZ 7" 16:9 Monitor w/ Israeli arm

Lights
Lighting gear (softboxes, stands, sandbags, etc.)
China Balls, all sizes, coming out my yinyang

Homemade stuff:
Fullsize dolly
Mini dolly
16' Crane/Jib
SteadiSled
CarMount

And then props:
All sorts of gimmicked knives/scissors
Master knives to matched gimmicked.
Blowback guns
Static gun, rifles, shotguns
Swords
Wardrobe

And I probably have more... that's just what I can think of right now.

Now if we had local lists where guys listed their gear and what they're willing to loan out/exchange/swap for a shoot and then the parties can barter an arrangement.... that's good times.

Am I nuts? (Dont answer that.)

What do you say?

i would be very interested in using some of this equipment...within the next week.
Mainly the lights and blowback gun

i have a letus35 and multiple lenses to go with it that i would gladly loan out. Along with a set of arri tweenies (650).

Responding here to bump my loser thread.

When, where and how long is your shoot? And how much use on the gun? (I'm still in production and my star gun is a Walther P99compact blowback and I cant afford for it to die from overuse. I also have a silver Sig229 blowback that while I want it to live, it wont kill my film if it dies.)

I would need to gun for next sunday. Its one scene with the gun. It is definately not a shoot out or anything. It is one small scene where a single shot is fired.

It would be very minimal use and greatly appreciated!!
 
I have a full day of shooting Sunday - dont need the gun. I would need it back by Tuesday, though... so actually Monday-Monday night. Are you in the Hollywood area at all during the week? I work full time (photographer) and while I live in the Valley, I'm in Hollywood much. Would probably be the best way for me to hook up. I'm never in Long Beach. Last time I was there was for a Catalina day trip.

Let me know how this sounds and then we'll PM and exchange info.

Actually, i just found out we had to adjust the schedule because our location people asked us to. So the scene now is on the 20th. But you say you need it that day. So i am not sure if it will work now...
