Sustain in Acid?

Wasnt sure where to post this. Since Acid came with my Veags, I figured I'd try here.

IS there a way to "Sustain" a part of the AUDIO track?

Im not talking about cutting or fading. I mean literally to sustain a note/section from in the middle of a music track?

I think you could select the section you want to sustain and retime it slower then it is but keep the pitch the same so it wont sound slower it will just take longer to complete the selection.
