Ok so my uncle give's me his old surround sound system, its an awia(sp?)
i want to hook it up to my ps2 with the digital wire it comes with for SS.
but it doesnt work?!
i can get other games and movies to come out the speakers but 2 of them come out really low and the others louder.
Blah! i know im not making sence right now.

What all is in the system? Is there an amp/receiver? If not, that's the piece of equipment you'll need.

That would explain the volume variances.

Maybe take a picture of the system and the back of the box (assuming you have one for it), and then we can help ya

Also, depending on the surround certain speakers (FR and FL) will be louder. It's probably an older Dolby Pro-Logic system. And, I'm not sure that the PS2 supports full Dolby Digital. You'll probably have to buy a decoder (total waste of money give the products in todays market).

What I would do is use the DVD player for your "true" surround, then patch the PS2 into a generic input on the receiver like "AUX" or "TV". I recommend not using the PS2 as your main DVD player.
