Surround Panner Keyframes Won't Change Value

Hey all I am having some trouble keyframing the surround panner. I can get the keyframe markers to show up on the timeline but when I adjust the position of the audio focus point it changes the position for every keyframe on the entire time line. Do the keyframes for the surround panner work differently or is something just not right? Thanks.

You have to click on the icon next to the mute button on the audio track and choose "Show automation controls."
