surge protector/power conditioner?

Does anyone use any type of surge protector/power conditioner when keeping their HVX plugged in? I was just thinking about this and realized I also do not have one for my DV deck. Does anyone have any suggestions? OR at least anything I should look for in getting one?

In my home office, all my expensive stuff is always plugged into one of two UPS systems. Things that I just want protected from power surges go into conditioned outputs, stuff that needs to keep running if power goes out goes into the backed-up outputs.

Go to your local Best Buy or Staples etc. and get a American Power Conversion or GeekSquad UPS, they have a replacement insurance if any equipment gets damaged due to a UPS malfunction.
