Some stills for a shortfilm we shot today.
No color correction or anything, straight from the camera.
We had no lighting equipment at our disposal, so only natural light.

Used the following lenses, Canon FD 24, 35, 50 , 85, 135mm.

Shot most of the times at F:8 on the lens. The zoom was wrong on the XHA1 since we had to set up this baby in no time with no reference-like monitors, so there is some vignetting.

Opinions are really welcome!

Sah-weet and sharp! I think i love the Sgpro's picture the most among all the adaptors. I only went with the letus economy because it was more practical for my needs(the inbuilt flip function). I really love the shot with the girl in the car, and i actually think that the vignetting helps the mood of the images your shot - after all its dull, rainy and melancholy....at least it looks like that was what you were gunning for. Great pics nonetheless, and it's amazing to see what the Sgpro can do.

One criticism - i doubt you could do much about it, and you probably know it - the second last grab is terribly underexposed. The last grab too.

Anyway, care to share the camera settings?

Eh, considering the rest of the grabs, I'm sure the underexposure is appropriate for the mood. I'm sure the second to last grab looks great in motion.

Edit: Second time around, I suppose the last shot could have been opened up a bit, but it isn't too bothersome.

Will this be available online at any point? I am very interested in seeing this story...

lol how did you get enough light to light the actors face who's sitting on the ground looking up at the station?

Hey thanks for the comments.

PaPa, those were the lights from the gas station itself, in the ceiling, as you can see in the frame.

The frame in the dark was shot with everything full open. We even had to put a car with its lights behind the back window of the van to get some light in there. Anyway was meant to be dark. The last frame grab is from the car when it was riding in a tunnel. You can see in the footage that there was lots of light actually in the car.

Footage clip can be found here: http://www.aerialsfilm.com/film/USAH264.mov

Oh, and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find it once edited on this forum.. :)

Thx.

Carrefour! That was my supermarket in Argentina! NICE
where was this shot? France?

Lovely grabs in the rain, did you have a flip on it?

Downloaded the video, wish there were audio on it. But it looks great, I love the SGpro... what lenses did you use?
