Thoughts appreciated on options to support a fluid-head mounted jib for quick small narrative drama shoots:
1) tripod vs 2) some other form of support
Situation:
thankyou!
1) tripod vs 2) some other form of support
Situation:
- tight (11'x 12') room, lots of furniture
- ceiling @ 10'
- main purpose quick re-positioning of camera
- occasional compound moves
- Cobracrane FotoCrane 2 (requires mounting on fluid head which enables tilt of arm and camera)
- mid-range jib reach - 3.5' to 6' (8' max)
- mid-range dead load (jib, counterweights, heads, FS100 payload); 50 - 60 lbs
- caster assembly to fit bottom of rig (for repositioning, ocasional dollying)
- Usually operating at tip, sometimes from support
thankyou!
