Support for pocket Dolly or similar slider

Hi
Very close to making a new purchase for a slider but was wondering if I'll need to upgrade my tripod as well. Can anyone recommend the minimum support needed for the pocket dolly or similar slider?
Would this work(not the head, just the sticks)

With a striped down light weight setup I use a single heavy duty tripod in the center.
With a fully built rig on a 100mm head I use a heavy duty tripod at each end of the slider.

Well it has a max load capacity of 11 pounds. I wouldn't use it, but that's just me.

If you have the traveler edition...that is 5lbs.
If you have the regular version, that is 7.5lbs. I would probably try it with a GH2/lens based on spec. I can't imagine the lightness of that cam
slightly bending the PD but i haven't tried it. I would have to physically look at it to decide.
