I heard that Bryan Singer is directing the upcoming Superman movie. I haven't heard much about it so far but I like Bryan's work so I trust that this will be a pretty good movie. What do you guys think?

Re: SUPERMAN

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane.

unknown guy as Superman. Brendan Routh or something like that?

anyways Spacey and Bosworth are good choices. He(Singer) along with his co-horts casted X Men very well, so I see these choices working out well, especially Spacey whose born to be bad, it'll be good to see a little Kaiser again.

With the budget Singer gets this it should be a homerun... but... ya never know.

seriously, i heard the guy who plays Clark Kent on Samville might be the one to play superman. Who knows. I think it should be a soul brotha.

Re: SUPERMAN

Poor casting choices in X-Men:

Famke Jannsen as Jean Grey

Patrick Stewart as Professor X

The rest were good. Didn’t care for Mystique’s or Nightcrawler’s makeup, though.

Whoa. I thought Captain Picard was perfect. Who would you have cast in those roles?

My biggest beef was Halle Berry as Storm. I think they should have cast Thandie Newton http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0628601/

Re: SUPERMAN

Ah, yes.  Halle Berry was a poor choice as well.  Storm is more like an Angela Bassett.

Stewart was all wrong.  He plays every character (with few exceptions) exactly the same as he plays Captain Picard, which is to say a Shakespearean interpretation of a Roman officer.  It was wrong for the character.  And besides, Professor X is many things -- pompous and arrogant among them -- but he most ASSUREDLY is NOT English.  And I don't mean just the accent.  I mean the character is distinctly American, not Old World.

I would have chosen Victor Garber.

I haven't really found who'd I'd cast as Jean Grey *now* (probably an unknown), though when they were talking about making an X-Factor movie in the '80s, I would have picked Kerrie Keane.

Re: SUPERMAN

WHAT!!!

Patrick Stewart was perfect. He frickin looks jsut like the prof x in the comics.

and yes hallie berry didn't fit...but most of storms roles were small so you didn't see much of her anyways.

This dialogue makes me ill:

Storm: Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?
[Pause]
Storm: The same thing that happens to everything else.

Re: SUPERMAN

^^^ haha, i really can't stand halle berry. :-X also thought the girl who played rogue didn't fit the part at all. i have to say i like patrick stewart though, although victor garber would have been an interesting choice...

Re: SUPERMAN
