Superimposing text onto video clips

Hi there,

With Final Cut Express, is there a way to superipose a series of text clips onto one long video clip? I'm trying to do my opening credits on a long take. By the looks of it I would have to cut my long take up into little pieces to fit each text clip. Pure pain. Is there a better way?

Can Final Cut Pro do this?

Do you mean to place text clips to show on top of your footage? Easy, place a text clip on the track above your footage. That is if you are generating text with FCE's text generator. Or do you have text clips created in some other app? Or are you trying to get the footage to show inside the text?

As BenB said, super easy to do. Just make the text clips the length you want them and place them above your video track. They, don't have to be the same length. (it could also be done with LiveType.)

i was doing it via the "superimpose" option on canvass. apparently with that it forces your text clip to be as long as your video clip.
