Shooting nature, I often have a lot of footage to wade through to find the odd few seconds here and there that can be used. The native files (AVCHD) don't play well, so it's easier if I export the day's footage to a low-res file that I can play at high speed on my laptop. This file is also useful for a friend overseas to help me go though the footage, so being small means faster uploads.
The problem is that there is no easy way of finding the clip name and clip time from this file. I need to go back to Premiere and find the location in the low-res export timeline. What would solve this is if I could superimpose the clip name and current clip time on this video. Premier does not seem to allow this type of functionality, and although it could be done in After Effects, that is a lot more work and rendering time.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Does anyone else need to do a similar thing and has come up with a different workflow?
