Super 8 Processing

Max8? Pro8mm? Was that their name? They were the only people really still doing it a few years back. They made a mod to the gate in order to gain more coverage on the film and it's called max8mm, I think.

You can do the processing part at home with E6 it's much easier than it seems. I did that for a while would be glad to help. You'd need a spiral from Lomo (can find on ebay) makes life a whole lot easier.

As far as an HD transfer the person to ask would be a roger at moviestuff dot tv they make nice machines. they can help and i'm sure they're open with their resources.

There is an almost never ending amount of places that can digitize it in just as many different ways and prices. Which to use is up to you.

Developing on the other hand is not very comon but Film and Video Solutions, Andec, and Gauge Film are a few based in US, Germany and UK.
They will all develop and scan as well as sell you the stock.

Is 'digitize it' basically where they just record the projected picture with an HD camera? The ones im looking at, is how they do it. Im really not a fan of that. I have to check these places out. Thanks!!

Thats what I meant with endless ways of doing it. There are frame by frame scans, arri scan, project on a sensor, record the projection in HD, in 4K, in 2K, etc. It never ends.
You just have to look at footage from different places.

The best looking footage I have seen scanned was from an Arri scanner. But the best footage ever are filmed projections. When done right it looks crazy good.

If you are in the us I recomend my first tip. Look on vimeo for a guy that uses them. His stuff looks great.
