sunshade or mattebox chrosziel

I want to buy a Chrosziel mattebox or sunshade  :. I don´t use a anamorphic adaptor and I won´t use it surely (I think) but I sometime use a panasonic 0.8 Wideangle Lens.

I don´t know if the mattebox is better than sunshade... I think that I should not to pay around 700$ (diference between mattebox and sunshade) if I don´t use a anamorphic adapter. What do you think?

The sunshade´s filters holders (when rotate) trip whith the DVX´s mic?

You could just get the cinetactics matte box. Its really cheap and it has worked for me. I haven't tried the filter holder on it and it sounds like you want something that can have rotating filters. So this might not be what you want. But I think paying anything more than a couple hundred on a matte box or sunshade is retarted. These people that make these products really rape you on the price.

thank you Drew599 but I need a Chrosziel because I need rotate filters and use my Panasonic 0.8x wide angle lens with a grad o polarizer filter. Maybe, I will need a follow focus... I don´t know.  :

I'm using the 411-53 from Chrosziel, and wouldn't use anything else. It's great if you want to spend that much on it.

i love my chrosziel too!

if you don't need the anamorphic i think there was someone selling a chrosziel without the anamorphic capability in the marketplace for a great price!

for the money the best deal going is still the formatt by bogen. if they ever come out with an anamorphic model thing will change real quick. plus at somepoint there is going to be a newer model of the dvx-100 with true 16:9 then the options for matte boxes will open up.

Thanks, but I think that the Formatt mattebox don´t attach a 0.8 wide adapter of Panasonic. I believe that I will buy a mattebox kit for DVX (1532 $) because if I buy a sunshade + center bracket + rods I will spend 1355 $ and I can´t use a anamorphic adaptor.
