Sunset shoot on the beach

So I just got my dvx100b a few weeks ago. I am so stoked. My focus is going to be primarily independent film making/documentaries, but I have to pay the bills some how. Translation: weddings. I can deal with anything as long as it means I'm using my dvx. I'm on Oahu, and I have a gig lined up for the end of June shooting a wedding on the beach. The shoot will be at 5pm. The first few things that jump out at me are

1) the light changing drastically during the shoot
2) the wind blowing like mad and big time effecting the camera's audio

This is a lighting thread, so of course that's what I'm asking here. Feel free to make comments on the audio though! Anyway, I have a few ideas for dealing with these things, but just wanted to hear what everyone else out there thinks, and how you have handled similar situations.

Thanks!

Are you shooting into the sunset?
As far as audio a nice wookie should do the trick. Are you using a shotgun or on camera microphone?

well, as of now i have just the camera with the standard factory mic. i'm thinking about setting up a portable dat with a mic somewhere inconspicuous for during the ceremony. also getting a copy of the music played during the ceremony to put in during post, rather than rely on just my mic setup. ok, newbie question. what is a wookie? is that to prevent wind noise? i don't have a shotgun mic yet, but am seriously considering making that the next purchase. someone else said they would get a windscreen over any other next purchase though. thanks for you reply JwrFord!
