Sun tracker?

Does anyone know of software that would allow you to calculate where the sun would be in the sky in relation to a given location at a given day and time? This would be great to know so when scouting a location; decisions can be made as to where the sun will be through the course of the day. I’m guessing there’s a website that I haven’t found yet.

Thanks

I use sunPATH for my Mac. Whenever I go on a trip, I print out the chart to see where the sun will rise and set. Very cool stuff to know

Sketchup has a built-in function that allows you to enter a date and time, plus latitude/longitude coordinates, and get an accurate simulation of light direction and angle. I think it's included in the basic free package, though it may only exist in Sketchup Pro.

Of course one of the nice things about it is that, for example, you can easily make a scaled model of your set or location (as basic or complex as you like) and then see how the light will work with your windows, doors, skylights, scenery, et all.
