Sun Destroys CCDs What About Light from a Flame?

I have shot both the sun, and arc welders with no disasterous events happening to my CCD, Fwiw.

Right. In the old days of tube cameras shooting such things would be extremely unwise. CCD's are another matter. I too have shot arc welding with no ill effect. My grandmothers are dead.

yeah.. the actual danger is the little friggin hot fire sparks that fly off every once inawhile.. thats some nasty fireballs of death.
