summer 2007 Camera recommendations

Cool, what did you end up getting? I do wish he would mention the d40's lack of an autofocus motor limiting it to the AF-S lenses. Great camera, but its a limitation that at least needs to be mentioned. Just picked up a used d70 last week and am enjoying the heck out of it! He's right about the 18-55 lens - I really dont have much use for anything else. And when I do the 55-200 VR should take good care of me.

Got the d40, got it on Amazon. I was looking for something simple for my needs and this looks like it works.

Cool, and dont take my comment about the d40 as anything bad - the AF-S lenses are great lenses, just being limited to them could be uhh limiting :)
