Suggestions on exposure correction

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the look of this shot in AE 5.5? I am mainly interested in doing what I can to help ease the harsh exposure on the left side.

Unfortunately overexposure is pretty much permanent. White is white and there is really no way to bring back any detail from pure white overexposure.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think its really that noticeable.
I like the left side of the person and the only really over exposed part I see is on the banner in the background which fortunately is pretty far in the background to standout.

Actually I just thought of something ...
try using the new clone tool. You could clone a piece of that banner slightly to the left and if the camera isn't moving it would be a piece of cake.

Personally, I think the shot looks fine. You can maybe use curves to tweak it abit but other than that, i see nothing wrong with the exposure. I couldn't resist but to play with it a bit.
