Suggestions on equipment list for Canadian Arctic shoot

Hello. I've been doing some research into the necessary video/audio equipment for a wildlife shoot, but I wanted to see if any of you have any suggestions from experience about what I should keep in mind of equipment to bring with me on my shoot in the Canadian Arctic (Holman Island).

I'm also not completely sure how I should handle consolidating all of my equipment (personal and audio/video) so I only need to bring 2 packs with me on the trip.

What I have (in addition to my DVX):
-KATA R-103 backpack (w/ rain/sun cover)
-KATA Banana production bag
-Rode NTG-2
-1.5' XLR
-20' XLR
-Bogen/Manfrotto 503 head with 755B sticks
-1 battery
-Sony MDR-V150 headphones

What I'm going to purchase:
-additional battery(ies)
-rain cover--suggestion of best one for DVX?
-expedition pack that would be suitable for my personal gear and camera gear--suggestions?
-a camera pack that would handle the bare essential gear (camera, mic, headphones, cables, batteries, rain cover, med kit, etc.)--suggestions that not bulky?

I have searched for answers on the forum and found some answers, but I'd truly appreciate any guidance that you have.

Thanks!

Portabrace makes a "ski jacket" thing for cameras. I have one made for an XL1 but it still works on the DVX. it is an insulated cover with slots inside for those handwarmer heat packets. Has two access sleeves you put your hands in to control the camera and allows use of the EVF.
Also if a backpack style case is not necessary I got this Patagonia case which is water resistant and dust proof. I had to add some high density foam cradles for the camera. But it holds the DVX, filters, 4 batteries, tapes etc..

Also to shave weight, i got this Slik tripod (the 505) that is 1/3 the weight of most fluid head video tripods and actually works quite well. Price is low low too $179 or so.
