Suggestions for a 24 year old lead actor

[Bob Gruen]

I'm putting together an independent screwball comedy that has a decent budget (130K Prod, 70K post) and I'm not as informed on up and coming actors as I should be. So I'm looking for suggestions of someone with a few credits to their name who might be searching for the right breakthrough role (aren't we all).

The character is envisioned as a young Tom Hanks type:

• 24 Year old Caucasian
• Quasi marketable
• Charismatic (but not GQ handsome)
• Good at dramatic acting with good comedic timing
• Likely to be receptive to a mix of money and points

Any ideas?

Hire a casting director.

Your production has "a" budget but if its a feature then I wouldn't necessarily declare it decent. We just wrapped on a half hour tv pilot, (22 minutes), with a 350K budget and it was tight.

lol, that's true. $10,000 for a music video is a "decent" budget, but that's a one-day shoot usually and only 3 minutes long. A feature, well, I would consider $500,000 to be decent, depending on subject matter obviously, but if you gave me that much I could do a decent amount.
