Suggested Media for DVD Master

What media does anyone recommend for authoring a DVD as a master for
DVD duplication?

How about a disk image file?

Maybe my post was misleading. I'll try again.

I'm looking for suggested DVD media to burn as a master DVD to submit to
a facility such as "Disk Makers" or a smiliar business.

I use Apogee Gold CD disks made exclusively for mastering a CD Audio project for
duplication purposes. I'm sure there are specific companies/brands that are
used for mastering/burning a DVD to as well.

Discmakers always requested a Verbatim DVD+R or Taiyo Yuden +R when I dealt with them 6 months ago.
