Hi all,
Is anyone here successfully using a P2 Drive (the AJ-PCD10)? I just got one but haven't got it to work with either my Mac or my PC.
On the PC, the drive only works if there are P2 cards already inserted in the drive's slots when I plug the drive into the computer via USB. A card inserted into the drive isn't recognized by the computer if the drive is already plugged into the computer.
On the Mac, it's even less reliable. When I put a card in the drive (after the drive is plugged into the Mac), the slot's light blinks for a few seconds, then all the other slots light up (minutes the original one), then after a few seconds, I get an error on the Mac about device removal ("The device you removed was not properly put away").
I installed the drivers off Panasonic's Web site on both the Mac and PC.
It's really frustrating that it's not working correctly, as the P2 Drive seemed liked it would be really useful. I'll call Panasonic tech support on Monday but I'd like to hear from someone who's drive is working. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Oh, I tried two different USB cables, so I don't think it's that.
thanks,
Fergus
