Subtle jitter in 24pa

I'll be blunt and obvious for best advice!

Footage shot on DVX100b at 24p(a) shutter off, squeeze mode.
Captured via firewire to Premiere Pro 1.5
Project settings: Widescreen 24p (the setting thats to be used for the panny shot in 24pa)

When played back on timeline I notice a VERY subtle jitter and it looks like it's 24fps but it doesn't look near as smooth as it should.

I often have to RECAPTURE the footage to get it to look right again. It's sort of luck-of-the-draw. I've used a Samsung SC-D363 camcorder to capture as well as my DVX and I still get the same luck-of-the-draw results. Very frustrating!
Any help? Cmon Khmuse, I believe in you!!!

could be a few things. I dont know what you mean by shutter off so i'll just ignore it. When you have over exposed areas (above 100IRE) in premiere 1.5 there is a strobong that occurs in the hihglights. to get rid of this try throwing on a clor correction filter or a video limiter and make sure it is clipping hihglights above 100IRE. Another reason could just be too fast action in 24pa. fast pans tend ot cause unwanted strobing looks. Did you shoot at a fast shutter speed, this could also contribute. If you can try upgrading to premiere 2.0 it handles 24p better and could potentially fix your problem if it is a problem with the NLE

thanks man! well i assume that when i press off on my shutter button and the lcd flip screen reads "shutter off" -- that my shutter was off. i dont know. thus, i was not shooting at a high shutter speed. my shots were stationary, for the most part, and i didn't think they were 'overexposed'. i'll try the filter and see what happens. what exact filter do you recommend?

I think what you mean by shutter off is that the normal shutter speed is set (for 24p this would be 1/48th)
try "video limiter"
