substitute for kinoflo?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the look of kinoflo long flouresent tubes without spending a fortune on them?
Would a set of good flicker free high wattage bulbs and inexpensive mount system from Home Depot or Lowes be sufficient?

I think that four or five fixtures like this would be a low cost solution.

The fluoros can join together whit velcro or a mechanic piece.

The four foot two lamp t5 fixtures at the home depot with warm white lamps are great for a substitute.
