Submit Films Now 4 Trenton Film Festival

Hey everybody, you all should submit a short/feature film to the Trenton Film Festival. It’s a new festival in the Capital City of New Jersey. It’s located in the middle of Philadelphia and New York, so the audience is pretty big. It’s fairly new. This is the third annual. Every year it’s getting bigger and bigger, so why not be part of something big in the making. I was involved last year as a volunteer and I must admit it went pretty well. It was well organized and the movies were pretty descent, we had submissions from all over the world and I even met a couple of film makers from Canada. This festival has the potential to be something big, but it can’t be done without great films and people like you and I. So I’m asking all of you to submit something you have now or something you’re currently working on and get a little exposure, because the festival is in between two major Cities and you never know who’ll be in the audience watching.

The great thing about the festival is, I know myself because I’ve met the people who are in charge, and they were sincere in their words, they told me that there’s no kind of politics or prejudice involve at all when selecting a film to be screened. Whether you’re a nobody or somebody becoming a somebody it doesn’t matter, if your work is good, you will be selected. There’s a process that each film that is submitted goes through before being selected, but I won't get into all that. I’m fairly new to the DVXuser site, and I must say I’ve seen some pretty good trailers on here, so why not submit something and see what happens, because you really never know.

Thanks guys, check it out http://www.trentonfilmfestival.org

… and they start taking submissions beginning October 1, 2005 and deadline for submissions is February 1, 2006. And the Festival runs from May 5-7 2006.

There's ALWAYS politics involved. ALWAYS. Even if they believe they're being fair. Besides, it's a loaded opinion...if you're good. What filmmaker doesn't believe this?

Also, please don't take this the wrong way...I'm not jaded. But I do know the truth. The only breaks I've gotten in this business whether it was a distribution opportunity or whatever has been because I knew someone who was willing to help me out.

Submitting my material anywhere I was an unknown ended up being a waste of money despite all the good things my parents said about my movies. :-)
