Hi everyone,

We, a group of committed, young film-makers (among us a number of fairly high profile winners on the film festival circuit) are looking to develop 2 projects for this year to submit to various local and international film festivals to continue develop our skills and reputations. We are happily looking for any submissions for short, or not so short film screenplays.

We are looking for people we would love to work and develop a relationship with. If you have anything that you feel proud of and want to perhaps see made, please do not hesitate to contact us. Previously our success has come from drama and comedy genre but we are willing to look at anything really. Length anything from 4 to 30 minutes in length.

Best regards,
Alex

I'm assuming credit will be given where credit is do?

Are you willing to improve upon short scripts?

My apologies. yes of course all the credit of the script will be with the writer. We are willing to look and develop the scripts into projects that would make both parties happy and proud.

Thanks,
Alex

I'm wondering, isn't it important that you'd network with people who live in your area? Where are you btw?

I live in Santa Barbara and ended up networking with some people in San Francisco. Long story. But the 5 hour distance between us hasn't been a plus.

Other opinions sought.

Why should it matter whether the screenwriter is in their area or halfway around the world? It's not like they have to sit down face-to-face to discuss the script.

Alex, I've got a short called 'Prey' that I'd like to see made. I'll be sending you a PM.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I've worked with a few people who were based in other countries on scripts etc and haven't encountered many problems that couldn't be solved :)

Hey there, what is the submission deadline? Right now I am working with mb72378 on a project, but I have some unwritten script ideas that I would consider drafting and sending in.

We'd obviously like to start looking at things as soon as possible, however I don't think there's a deadline as such. Let's say anything in the next 2 weeks would be great. Drafts, treatments or ideas are also welcome. Developing a script with a writer from its infant stage is very interesting :)

I have a lengthy list of ideas, I will look them over and PM you if I find any that I think have potential. I might also decide to just go out and draft one up for you over the next week. Off to the "Ideas" Folder...

Hi Alex, do you have any links / sites with excerpts or full versions of your previous work? I'd love to take a look. Cheers!

Hey guys sorry for late reply, been very hectic few weeks here. I'll certainly whack some quicktimes up for you to have a squiz at. I don't have a website myself but I'll get someone to post them on theirs.

Good afternoon Alex,

The following scripts are WGA registered, with either copyright and
copyright pending. My goal is to enter—and win—at festivals.

If interested, in any/all please contact me at smcguinn@earthlink.net and I will forward.

Thanks very much. I look forward to hearing from you.

BIO:

Sherry McGuinn is a long-time, Chicago area advertising copywriter and
newspaper features writer.

An ardent observer of life's absurdities, Sherry is pursuing her dream: To
leave the cutthroat world of advertising, for the even more "challenging"
milieu of the screenwriter.

Sherry's first script, UNDONE, a one-hour pilot for cable (dark comedy), has
received some good buzz, thus far. In addition, Sherry's short, dramatic
screenplay, HEAR ME, was a February, 2007 winner in the Wildsound Screenplay
Competition in Toronto. Other projects include several more short screenplays,
and a feature film that Sherry is currently writing, entitled SAP.

REGARDING UNDONE:

Actor/Writer Andre Ware (Diehard With A Vengeance, The Banger Sisters)
says,"Definitely not the work of an amateur. I laughed my ass off in spots."
