HPX250: STYLIN scene files fr HPX250 and HPX3000 series: SIMILAR MATCH?

I'll be mixing HPX-250 and 3000 series cams and would like to know if I use the STYLIN scene from Panasonic's site (one for HPX-250, the other is the hPX3000 series), will both cams look fairly close to each other if I use 3200K preset WB and the rest manual wb?

No. You cannot use the preset white balance and expect similar looks. The scene files take advantage of the color temp menu setting, which is disabled when using the preset. You have to use manual white balance on both cameras if you want them to match as best as possible.

I'm curious to know of the STYLIN is optimized for 3200K and the DSC test chart? When I try outdoor scenes, it looks quite off from the HPX3100s. That's the HPX-250 is very cool vs the warmer look. But when I performed a manual WB int (about 3.9K, it looks just about right).

It's not optimized towards any reference; it's a stylized look. Manual white balance is the only way to get it to deliver the look that it's supposed to do. Using preset white balance would change it entirely. But with proper manual white balance on both cameras, the look should be quite similar.

Pretty much impossible to get both classes of cam to get close to each other w/ STYLIN even with manual WB. Mostly indoor and mixed lighting scenarios are similar but all others way to far off. Live switching is not possible. But post production with color grading - yes.
