Stuttery/Jittery Canvas Playback

Hi guys, I have this new Samsung P2370HD LCD Monitor connected to my Macbook pro running FCP 6.0.6, my problem is that everytime I play the video in the timeline I got jittery images in the canvas when I watch it, whereas in my macbook pro it plays normal. Am I doing something wrong here? I'm sorry if this issue had been discussed here already and I also googled it and can't find any answer so your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Probably it's that your computer is having a hard time driving the external monitor at such a high res, especially when you set it up in dual-screen mode. Since it's an HDTV as well, you could try hooking it up using your camera and the firewire port. It wouldn't give you added desktop space, but at least it might play realtime.
