Using JVC HD-100 in simple DV 30/fps mode. Suped up G5 so I assume it's not a system capture problem.
I keep getting mediocre pans, there is an eye wrenching stutter problem that accompanies all my footage. You can see what I mean in the opening 00:07-00:14 of this realty tour vid...

Going back to the source footage, these hick-ups are indeed there, although less noticeable. By the time I have the footage on my FCP timeline it becomes more pronounced. And by the time I have encoded the export with H264 compression and uploaded it, it is very pronounced.
Is there a camera function/technique that I have totally dropped the ball on here? Thanks in advance for any advice. Fwiw, I pretty much leave the Full Auto function on unless I have a specific focus/iris adjustment to make because of time restraints.
