Stutter in video every 15 seconds, Sample, Please Help

I have shot a bunch of footage this year for a documentary style film and I just ran into a huge problem. I just imported over 7 hours of footage and everything shot on the Sony HDR-SR7 has a frame stutter every 15 frames. Everything I shot on my HVX200 is fine. It's only the Sony AVCHD footage that's giving me trouble.

Has anybody else run into this problem. When I open the Log and Transfer window (command+8) and preview the clips they play fine in the viewer. It's when I actually import them that I get the skipping frames. It's not contained within Final Cut Pro. If I open them through quicktime I get the same issue.

Here is a sample:

Please, anybody who has a fix to this problem please let me know. I am in big trouble if I can't use any of the footage. The fact that the clips play find in the viewer in the Log and Transfer window leads me to believe that it's an error that is happening upon converting the AVCHD data to quicktime

Did you have the right codec settings in your sequence? According to this article you use Apple ProRes 422 or the Apple intermediate Codec. I looked at your footage and it looks like a codec issue. I assume the footage plays back fine in the camera? Did you shoot in SP or LP?

I shot in XP. It's Sony's way of saying High Definition in their low end cameras. Yes, the footage does look fine in the camera. It even looks fine in the previewer in the Log and Transfer window. It is when the raw AVCHD data from the Sony camera is converted to quicktime that I run into this error. It feels like a codec error to me also but I have been working with footage from this camera for 2 years now and this just started happening.

I just switched to the 422 Intermediate Codec and tried to convert clips using that codec and still no luck.

So you've done this for 2 years with zero issues? I wonder if it could be a memory problem with your computer. I don't really have an idea as to what it could be. Are you having trouble with any other projects? Maybe try capturing an old tape that you know works and see if it does it again. That'll help narrow things down. I know that I have definitely seen that before in footage that was shot in LP or EP. Do you have FCP 6.0...because you can't import AVCHD footage on previous versions. I don't know if you are using the same machine or the same program as before...

AVCHD is a tapeless format and doesn't use tape, but an internal hard drive inside the camera. It works fine with footage from my HVX200. It's when I try to bring in footage from the sony HDR-SR7 camcorders that I get trouble. It has something to do with the conversion in the Log and Transfer window in FCP because it works fine with AVCHD footage that was converted before the problem starated happening.
