Stupid Tripod problem

So I rented a slider for my shoot tomorrow. I picked it up from the store, went home, unscrewed the head off of my tripod, screwed the slider onto it, played around with it for a bit, fine. Unscrewed the slider and screwed my tripod head back on, but as I do, i screwed the head onto the main screw too tight, now I can't unscrew the head back off again. My tripod is this:

The connection to the head is also supported by 3 secondary screws which are not on right now. I can't loosen the head at all. Is there anything I can do?

The head is the Manfrotto 501HDV

Incase I couldn't explain it clearly, here is the manual:

it is the G screw that is on too tight. I'm not able to unscrew it cuz as I try to, I'm just rotating the tripod.

There is a very tight lock on the 501HDV.
