Stupid Follow Focus ?

[BobbyMurcerFan]

Okay, I have a very stupid follow focus ?. When a follow focus is mounted on the left side of a camera, does rotating the wheel counter clockwise focus a normal cine lens towards infinity?

I've got a follow focus w/ a reverse gear, but I don't know if it's already been reversed or not, LOL.

Thanks much!

Nope that's backwards.

Thanks. But that's a little unfortunate . As it makes more sense to my hand to rotate a left-side wheel counter-clockwise to focus further away--as it feels like I'm moving my hand "away" from me. And to rotate it clockwise to focus more closely, as it feels like I'm moving my hand towards me.

But I don't want to create any bad habits. So if that's backward, then I might as well correct it now.

Thanks again for the help .
