Studio - wider or taller?

Recap of project plan: build an inner building (studio) inside an engineered metal building (shell).
I've got 2 main questions which I will post in 2 posts

Q #1.
Inner studio building (blue color) will have it's own roof and plan to have ceiling on top of trusses to give ability to provide 2' -6" more height clearance for "recessed" spacelights. Since spacelights hang quite a bit, this will give more clearance from bottom of spacelights to the floor. Good idea? The light grid would attach to bottom of trusses. So it would be 18' from floor to grid.

Q #2 The inner studio building (blue color) is approx 38-40' wide. The engineered metal building (black color) is approx 50' wide.
Due to building roof slope, the inner studio could placed in middle to gain more than 18' height from floor to grid. This leaves small storage space on the sides of studio.

Or the inner studio could be shifted to one side to allow a larger storage space on one side and have 18' height from floor to grid as in earlier post.

So wider or taller? Obviously both is the best answer but I likely have to compromise due to cost
