Studio layout advice?

I've had to really scale down what I am wanting to do due to cost so I'm trying to keep the structure 40X40 or less.
I am asking for advice on the following 2 layouts.
The basic construction idea is a metal building.
I want to use it to do post work, shoot green screen (and white if I can figure out how to accomplish it), meet with people, park/load a van and live.
The type shoots would be commercial clients and web ministry. The shooting would be limited by the size, obviously.

Since the studio portion is small, the hallway opening could also be used to place a camera op to gain a few extra feet distance from the wall and talent.
This design also has an advantage that the studio is surrounded on 3 sides by rooms to help provide more sound barriers from outside traffic, etc.
So only one wall would need massive insulation and deadening.
The building size would be a box, 40' X 40' X 18' ? in order to give the highest green wall I can.

The 2nd design has a wider studio but would need more sound insulation. Also, the studio only has a high ceiling over part of it, since the 2nd floor overlaps the lower part which limits shooting options. Increasing the structure size to 40X50 would help a lot, but increases the $$.
I offset the roof to give max height above the green wall.

Thank your for taking the time to read this and for any input.

I'm more about open plans but having those rooms on the perimeter is a good idea to deaden outside noise. The corner green wall is also a great idea, and all you have to do is paint it white when you need white and then green when you need green. An 18" paint roller makes it pretty easy. Consider putting a curve in that corner though.

Thank you both.

Yes I intend to put a curve in the corner and also a curve from floor to wall.

I've been asking about how to insulate the ceiling and wall. One guy suggested an expensive spray foam.
I don't know yet. I'm still trying to gather advice, especially from people in this field, since regular architects and contractors don't normally deal with these type projects.

Been hashing this over and have come up with another design.
Some things I like are:
1. the rooms around the sides for noise barriers.
2. the ability to open the wide bottom hall door and gain several more feet for a camera (allowing approx 25 ft deep, wall to camera)
3. the ability to open the side door and gain several more feet for shooting sideways (allowing approx 35ft wall to camera)
4. the ability to drive a car or motorcycle into the studio via the side double doors
5. the addition of a meeting room, albeit small
6. the ability to shoot an above angle from the 2nd floor lower center without needing to use a jib
7. the dedicated loading and unloading space for the van without having to open the studio up
8. the personal living space is completely separate from the 1st floor "business" space.
9. the empty space that could be used for extra storage for props and stuff not needed regularly
10. highest peak of roof is above green wall, allowing for slope off both sides for roof runoff
11. plumbing is on same side of building
12. ability to see into studio from lower edit room and also be close to entry door to hear/answer customers at door

Things I do not like:
1. Having to pass through the upper office to get from garage to studio
2. Studio is not very big. I wish I could get 35X35 but don't see how given the situation and unique goals
3. Finding a location for the stairs has been difficult
4. The makeup room may be too small
5. Having to increase size to 40X50 from 40X40 means more $$$

This is an alternate version of the 1st floor.
I swapped the makeup room and half bathroom to allow for more open shooting space at the lower end of the studio.
So with the wide hall door open, could manage about 27 feet distance from green wall to camera, to help make up for the small size.

Thoughts?

Well, I've read over advice again, and took more measurements and determine I must achieve more shooting distance or always be fighting not having enough room to get back. So I am going to work on this some more
