Stripping Out Frames

Okay, here's the situation:

I recorded an event last night in 24pA, capturing straight to my PowerBook's hard drive using BTVPro. I end up with nice, viewable, named clips, that I can play with QT, FCP, and BTV.

So, what's the problem you ask?

Neither FCP nor Cinema Tools can remove the advanced pulldown (I guess the flags didn't so much carry over). FCP gives me "ERROR: Unable to find clip(s) with Advanced Pulldown to process," while Cinema Tools just locks up.

So, my question is whether there is a way to go through and remove every 5th frame or to re-insert the necessary 24pA flags so as to be able to remove the pulldown. I haven't tried outputting the file to my DVX to re-import yet, but it's my next step if nobody has a nicer solution to this.

Thanks,

So are you able to bring the clips into FCP without having to go through any kind of pulldown removal? I'm not understanding where you're stuck.

Re: Stripping Out Frames

The clips aren't on tape. They import (via File-->Import-->Files or dragging them from the Finder into my Browser) just fine as 29.97 clips but I can't use Tools-->Remove Advanced Pulldown to convert them to 24 fps for editing in a true 24 fps timeline.
