Stretched Image on HDTV ???

Just bought a 19" Magnavox HDTV LCD TV to use as a client monitor on an upcoming studio shoot. After hooking it up the the HVX (using the component cable), the image is stretched. Tried all the menu options on the TV but, no success.

Is anyone using an off the shelf HDTV for a monitor, and are you having the same issues?

Is your HVX set to standard-def "normal" mode?

No, I'm set up in 720p/24pn. Aspect is defaulted to normal.

I just switched the recording format to 480i/24p changed the aspect to squeeze then went back to 720p/24pn on the recording format and still no change.
