Strength of the HPX170 handle screw mount?

Anyone have any experience putting stuff on this mount?
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the shear strength of the mount was terrible.

I'm looking to put a Marshall v-r70p-hda monitor on it. Heavy and probably a bad idea.

Any thoughts or insight?

it would depend on what kind of battery you had on the monitor. your monitor itself is only a couple pounds, but if you have a heavy battery on it - that changes the situation.

ive run my small hd dp1 with their slim battery several times on my 170 with no problem.

Cool, thanks for the input.

However I think the Marshall is almost twice as heavy as the DP1, weighing in at 3lbs.
