Street art for kids.

If you've ever thought about creating one of those street art deals but aren't an artist, here's a way you can do it.

I was thinking of it being more of a family project.
Something to do with the kids or Grand kids on one of those 'nothing to do' days. Or maybe something to do for halloween, ect.

Here's the idea. Chalk drawing a sketch from a coloring book, for example, using a grid pattern.
Getting the proper perspective is key to the illusion. The kids could maybe color it in as you go?

Here I've chosen a cartoon. The grid pattern is 1 foot blocks to fit my 11ft X 24ft black tarred driveway and here's the stages of layout.
2 marked strings for the rows could be used to draw in the rows of patterns with sidewalk chalk.

I've made a tutorial (maybe for the CGIFest tutorial fest, maybe) using the cartoon one showing how to do these with C4D but if anyone would like a graphic converted so you can try it at home, let me know.
Just takes me a few minutes to make the template.

Above: A graphic template. Inverted so that it is easier on the ink when prinited.
The black areas would white, the white areas the driveway.
