strangest audio sync issue EVER

Hello everybody, I desperately need your help on this one.

So I've just finished importing some clips off my DVX100b, shot in 24pA squeezed. Everything is great ... except for 2 clips that I have, both coming off the end of their respective DV tapes, where the audio will go out of sync.

Now, here's the strange part: All the other clips are fine, even clips at the end of other tapes. Only on these two specific clips do I seem to have this audio drift, even though other clips of equal length don't have it.

Also, if i play these unruly clips in Quicktime the sync is fine! The only problem is that I get strange glitching with the footage, something that does not appear in FCP...is this a pulldown mistake? That doesn't seem possible, considering I have my remove pulldown box checked on import ...

HELP!

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

My specs are as follows: 2008 Macbook Pro, FCP 7.0.2, scratch disk is a firewire800 lacie.

Thank you in advance.

Update: I've tried to re-import the footage and the audio sync issue is still there ... Capture preset is: DV NTSC 48Khz Advanced pulldown removal Anamorphic

I haven't shot with my DVX in at least 8 months, but I have over 950 hours on it. I am can not say what is causing your issues but I am fairly sure you should not capture with pulldown removal. This is a long known confusion with this camera. The only issues I ever had capturing were when I forgot and selected pulldown removal.

That is quite confusing. I'll try capturing the footage again without the pulldown removal box checked and see if the issue persists.

Perhaps a stupid question, but without pulldown removal active how will my footage end up as 24p?

What does FCP say your footage is vs. what do you think you think in terms of frame rate?
