Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I bought a DVX100B a few weeks back and have been shooting a lot with it. I sat down to capture an entire tape (a friend's performance for archival purposes mainly), take out a couple things and output it to DVD.
I shot the footage in 24p. I have not imported 24p footage before, but am familiar with FCP and use it regularly at work.
What's happening is that when I capture (using capture now) I receive no error messages and everything checks out (vtr ok, etc) but when I hit ESC, no clip exists.
I checked all my settings about 5 times:
DV NTSC - it is my understanding that it would only have to be in 24p settings for 24pA footage, but i tried that setting too just in case.
The playback in the log and capture screen is fine. The video plays fine. All connections are okay.
The hard drive has 450 gigs left on it.
The weird thing is, it captured 4 seconds of footage, but I couldn't replicate that.
There are no weird boundaries (ex. only import the first 8 seconds....)
Any suggestions? This is driving me a little nuts.
Thanks,
Kyle
