Strand Ianiro 650w Mizar fresnel? Quality?

Looks like a good deal, especially compared to Arri prices. But not so much if they're junk.

I've bought from them. They are top notch. Bought a 1K Mole two weeks back, works great the bulb is used but you can buy new ones from them anywhere from $30 to $40.

Pyramid Films has a good rep. It's these specific lights I'm not sure about.

That is a solid 'Pro' movie light, used them thousands of times - they are a staple of every package truck out there. I even have several in my personal kit, that I picked up used for about the same price.
If it was choice between these used, and similarly priced new Chinese knock offs... I would choose these with hesitating.

How do they compare in size and weight to an Arri 650w fresnel?

Do they use standard bulbs?

Same size or smaller, and yes they use standard bulbs. Most of mine have FEV 200W in them, and I swap out up to 500W bulbs when needed.

UPDATE:

Called Dave at Pyramid Films. Very personable, knowledgeable guy. Turns out they have some LTM Pepper 650s in stock that aren't on the website, so I went with those. They have the same size lens as the Arris, while the Strands have a smaller lens and, consequently, less spread.

$386 shipped for two Pepper 650 fresnels. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

I'm pretty sure they do. Not sure how many, though. Mine came with 4 way barndoors and used bulbs.
