hey all
I'm thinking of designing + building an "umbilical" strain relief gizmo that either clamps to the front support of the HVX or screws in where that useless mic mount goes.
Reasoning: if I'm shooting tethered to a monitor or a laptop, I need to make sure that I'm not putting a lot of stress on the ports themselves (cables, by and large, are cheap).
At first I thought maybe of just using the mic mount and padding it with a lot of extra rubber (it would work) but I wonder if anyone has come up with anything really nice, or there is some product I'm not aware of.
also... on the subject of weird little thingies:
anyone ever come across plastic-coated binder clips?
