Straightening bowed carbon fibre rods on a slider?

Is there a way of straightening the carbon fibre rods on a slider if they start to bow?

Is this common with any rods made from carbon fibre that they eventually bow?

I filled mine with eproxy when i still had my slider. it did the job.

Doesn't that add to the weight badly? Was that to prevent bowing or was it after it bowed and it straightened once you placed the epoxy?

You could try heat, the CF is really fabric and epoxy resin so it should be able to be fluid again with a bit of heat.

Yes it add a bit of weight, but my slider is short so the weight is not a huge difference.

Add micro spheres to keep the weight down.
