Storing your mics

Hi all,

I just got a pelican 1120 case to store my hypers (Schoeps and Oktava). I thought this would be better for then than their stock cases as it is water/air tight. Is this the right thing? How do you people carry all of your gear around?
 
One good thing you can do it simply put your mics in a plastic bag when not in use/in the case. You don't have to seal it. This prevents foam and other particles from getting on the capsule of your mic.
 
Pelican or similar copycat cases are find for location work. I don't remember the numbers of my Pelicans but that is where my mics and other equipment resides during their down time.
