Looking for advice on how to create a random stop-motion effect in post. I recently saw an anti-smoking ad which had a stop motion effect to the video. The stopmotion effect was as if frames were cut out in random fashion. Example: 10 frames would play almost real time, then 15 frames would be choppy and stop-motion - then 1 frame would hold, etc. It was very random-like --- which added to the overall effect. Super cool. I know FCP has a strobe effect, but wondering if anybody else has seen this or is using anything to acheive this effect.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
