My HV20 was stolen on a recent trip to NYC. I was hoping there might be some place to report the serial # of this camera so that if by some chance someone searches for it, it would show up as stolen. Anyone know of such a place?

Blake I'm sorry to hear that, hope you have insurance of some sort, either way I'm hoping you get it sorted soon.

Yeah, I've kept my eyes peeled on ebay. I've pretty much given up on this, but thought there might be some sort of online database of stolen stuff that I could enter this into, but haven't found anything searching online.

Thanks Anhar. This camera would only be covered under my homeowner's insurance, not my business insurance (I had just purchased it), and the way homeowner's policies work in the U.S., it's pretty much guaranteed that my premium will go up if I make a claim. Which sucks.

Since the happened in NYC, you might want to email one of the video guys from our used dept in case the person who has it tries to sell it to us. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
